Serendipity strikes. Like lightning. Originally, I'd planned to merely mention this Boot Camp post (below the scroll) by Penny Arcade purveyor Mike "Gabe" Krahulik. We'd previously reported that he and partner-in-crime Jerry "Tycho" Holkins, both gamers of the hardcore variety (not to be confused with the dual core variety), had recently picked up Macs. As far as World of Warcraft goes, Gabe seems to be impressed, though somewhat perplexed by the performance disparity between OS X and XP on the same machine.
Then I opened this morning's dead tree edition of the funnies (Boston Globe variety, in my case) to see that even the mainstream comics have picked up on the buzz. I don't usually like Prickly City; I find it unfunny at best, but today it provoked a raised eyebrow. Egad! What's next, actually stopping to read Mallard Fillmore? The bile rises in my throat at the very thought.
Anyway, as we all know, two items easily constitutes a "round-up." So consider yourself, er, rounded up.
