Desperate GermanWhile Apple’s been selling TV shows in the US since fall of 2005, rolling that content out to the rest of the world has been slow going. The only two other countries to feature television for download are the UK and Canada, neither of which got that content until last year.

To that list, we now add Germany. Apple has announced the addition of both German and US television shows to that country’s iTunes Store for the price of €1.99 and €2.49—the former for German-produced shows, and the latter for American shows like Lost and Desperate Housewives. According to Apple’s press release, you can catch German award winners like “Brainpool’s Deutscher Fernsehpreis-winning comedy programs Stromberg and Dr. Psycho and comedy program Kaya Yanar-Made In Germany.

Dr. Psycho, huh? That sounds, er, ehrfürchtig (thanks, Babelfish). I mean, doctors + psychos = comic gold. That’s German efficiency for you, right there.

wtf? Tried to reverse translate using the same engine, apparently ehrfürchtig means ehrfuerchtig in English--of course!
