Apple Keynotes hit the iTunes Store, starring Steve Jobs

Apple Keynotes podcastIn recent times, starting from Macworld 2007 last year, Apple has developed this penchant for posting keynote videos as freely downloadable podcasts on the iTunes Store. For people like me, the sort who do not enjoy broadband speeds enough to sustain an uninterrupted viewing of streaming videos, it’s been a wonderful practice.

Apple’s modus operandi so far, though in the right direction, had been a little weird. It made little sense to create entirely new podcasts with one video each for every event. Apparently, someone at Apple noticed this oddity too and lo, we now have Apple Keynotes (iTunes link), a podcast dedicated to “videos of Apple’s most important announcement”, a.k.a. Jobsian keynotes.

So far, it includes videos of Macworld 2007, iPhone Software Roadmap Event and Macworld 2008 keynotes and will, hopefully, be updated with the WWDC 2008 keynote in a few hours (days?) of it getting over. Hit the friendly little Subscribe button if you’d like to witness the launch of the 3G iPhone first-hand (no promises though).

Is it possible to see them on an iPod Touch or iPhone?

I think this is great because it will help make the keynote immediately available. I guess that the iTunes Store servers are better prepared to attend the demand of millions of downloads than the limited amount of streaming servers that Apple would have to hire.

*SIGH*

Still, despite being free, it is 'Not available from the Canadian Store"

I'm really starting to get sick of this limitation... especially for the so-called 'free' stuff...
