The last few days have been huge for software updates, so your cable modem may feel a little tired after you finish updating.
Thunderbird 2.0 was released. I mentioned the changes recently. Worthy of note are the new conversation view and the not new continued lack of Address Book support.
Belkin released an Intel native version of its Nostromo gamepad drivers. I’ve had one for a while now, but been unable to use it since I got the Mac Pro. My games’ graphics have become smoother and my gameplay has taken a dive. I hope this helps rectify the situation and eliminates a nasty bug in the last version of the software that dumped debug data into logs.
Transmission got updated to version 0.70. This is still my favorite BitTorrent client due to its pleasing exterior and fast performance. Meanwhile Azureus is looking really weird these days.
VLC media player also got a security update to 0.8.6b. It’s the one media player I feel I can always trust to do the job and keeping you safe is priority number one, right after keeping me happy.
Fire up those download managers and have at it. (Note: I would have mentioned EyeTV’s update, but Scott stole it.)
