Good news: as we speculated yesterday, the latest release of QuickTime, 7.4.1, fixes the problems that Adobe After Effects users had been experiencing with QuickTime 7.4—namely, the ever irritating not-so-much-worky problems.
According to the mothership:
The update “addresses security issues and improves compatibility with third-party applications,” according to Apple. Apple provided no additional details about those changes in the release notes, but Macworld has confirmed with an Apple spokesman that this update addresses a previously reported incompatibility between QuickTime 7.4 and Adobe After Effects. We’re just glad somebody sat down with After Effects and QuickTime and explained to them that it’s not nice to take other software programs’ toys. Nothing more to see here, move along.
