Popcorn 3If you’ve starting to get that burning feeling again, don’t worry—there’s no need to rush off to the doctor’s office. It might just be Roxio’s new version of Popcorn, due out at the end of this month. The disc authoring program has added a spate of new features to its repertoire.

At the top of the list for many will be the new TiVoToGo functionality, which will let you transfer files from your TiVo and automatically convert them into the format of your choice. Another welcome addition: the program will also let you pause and resume conversions, in case you need to free up some processor cycles for other tasks. And it’ll work with El Gato’s Turbo.264 encoder to speed up conversions into that format. In case that’s not enough for you, Roxio has also added presets for popular digital devices like the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, iPod, iPhone, AppleTV, and BlackBerry.

Current users of Popcorn and Toast will be able to snag an upgrade online for $30, while the rest of us plebes will need to shell out $50. You’ll need a G4 or better, QuickTime 7.1.6, and 300MB of disk space, but we don’t really see that being a problem for you crazy media fanboys.
