PodWorks iconBuzz Andersen recently released a free update to PodWorks, the excellent application that allows you to copy songs from your iPod or iPhone back to your iTunes library.

New additions in this release are:

  • Completely rewritten AppleScript code for better reliability
  • A Transfer Errors window which prevents errors from disrupting transfers
  • Improved duplicate prevention feature
  • “Metadata only” transfer mode
  • Several other minor bug fixes
Like we’ve mentioned before, PodWorks is a great utility that features a low price tag of $8 and works exactly as advertised. If you’re an iPod owner and want your iPod to be friendlier with your Mac, give this one a try. A time and feature-limited free demo is available on the developer’s website.
