While Boot Camp may be one of the main features Leopard is touting, I’m still a big Parallels fan. While the current version runs pretty well with Leopard, set-a-side a few minor bugs, Parallels has now released a new beta fully-compatible with Leopard, plus a special deal for new purchasers.
In addition to complete Leopard support, the beta of Parallels also “substantially improves Windows Vista and Windows XP performance” and “offers several features and enhancements that further blur the lines between Windows and Mac applications.” Hey, sounds good to me.
Plus, up through November 6th, new purchasers of Parallels 3.0 will receive a $20 Apple Gift Card (upgraders from 2.5 will get a $10 card). This is definitely a great way to get new customers, including on-the-fence PC-users, to finally make the switch to Parallels and Mac.
Overall, this beta, as usual, looks great, showing that even more than a year after its initial release, Paralells’s still got it.

Unfortunately, Parallels has just lost me as a customer. "Minor bugs" encountered over the weekend included full blown kernel panics and so I decided to try VMWare Fusion since people were reporting that this worked well with Leopard. This information is indeed true so I've migrated to VMWare now and I honestly cannot be arsed to move back again unless I hit issues with VMWare. The speed increase is also quite real, although this could be because Windows has been installed fresh again.
