Oh Brother, and Canon, printer driver updates

I’m not used to seeing printer driver updates coming through Software Update. In fact, in the early OS X days, I recall scouring printer manufacturer websites for more reliable versions of the driver software that imprisons digital information into a paper prison. Somehow, Brother and Canon get a special delivery.
All that said, details are once again light. Haiku for you.

Nothing to do with Brother or Canon specifically; HP drivers were updated recently too. Its a Leopard feature, when Apple get new driver info they integrate into the Leopard PPDs and Software update detects your installed printer - bingo.
