Apple’s software engineers have been busy, busy, busy. The very latest from the mothership is just for you MacBook Pro owners: MacBook Pro Software Update 1.1. It replaces the previously released 1.0. It also brings some new important fixes.
This update provides important bug fixes and improves stability with Motion 2 and Motion 3. It is recommended for all 2.2/2.4GHz MacBook Pro models.
It improves motion stability? Great news for seagoing owners! No one wants to suffer from sea sickness as they use their beautiful new MBP on the high seas. It must use the hard drive sudden impact sensor to compensate.
Apple seems to be coding directly to the characteristics of the video cards that they are shipping. Since the video cards in the MacBook Pros are different than those in the desktop Macs there are probably bugs that are unique to each machine.
I just wish they'd release Motion as a stand alone product again. I would love to run it on my MacBook Pro, but I don't have a need for Final Cut and all the other programs that come in the bundle.
