This week has been a whirlwind of software updates. I personally still haven’t gotten caught up. To add yet one more to the pile, Mark Space updated its Missing Sync for Palm to version 6. I recently got a Treo, so a few of the new features really appealed to me.
The most prominent new feature is the ability to convert videos straight into a format that your Palm will understand. Sure, many of us have iPods with video, but barring that or if you prefer to not bring it along, this is a great way to get Quicktime compatible video onto your phone or other Palm device. Unfortunately, through my limited testing, I’ve found it unreliable. I tried adding a video in a Perian supported format only to get rejected on my handheld.
Also included are Call Log and SMS syncing for Treo users as well the ability to sync notes with applications other than Mark Space’s own included Memo application. Alternately, you can sync with Entourage 2004 or even Yojimbo (my favoritest note taking app evar!).
The upgrade costs $24.95 while the full version will set you back $39.95. I find it worth every penny, if for nothing else but the fact that it’s a Universal Binary.
