Before Apple went Intel, one of the very best ways to live with Windows as a Mac user was actually to put a Windows PC in a closet and control it remotely with Microsoft’s Remote Desktop. That’s not a necessity anymore with virtualization, but there’s still plenty of use for Remote Desktop.
It’s been a long time since the last beta preview, but Microsoft has deemed it ready for release. This latest version features improvements such as being a Universal Binary, working better with Windows Vista, allowing multiple simultaneous connections, and live window resizing.
As always, it’s free and available for download from Microsoft’s site.
