Derik and I were just having a friendly wager the other day about how long it would take Leopard to appear on the Intertron, given the leaks of its new features we reported on last week (which were promptly removed at Apple’s behest). The answer was “not very long,” so I think Derik owes me a bottle of Scotch or something. I’ll settle for a button that reads “I’m Awesome.”
Our sibs over at Macworld UK are reporting that a Leopard preview has found its way into the Net’s seedy underbelly, and unlike the last time, this copy appears to be legit. Given that Apple handed out thousands of copies of the Developer Release, does this come as a surprise to anybody? The only real question is if they were smart enough to foresee this and embed something that lets them know who the offending party is. As you may remember, the same thing happened with Tiger, which resulted in a lawsuit with the developer. A small price to pay for a taste of the future.

Dan, you're drunk enough when you right this stuff. :)
