Our frenemies at the Iconfactory (we can’t call them just friends, because they’re also at least partially responsible for destroying my will to live) have just issued a Thursday twofer of new software.
First up, version 2.1.8 of their esteemed iPulse monitoring software. iPulse lets you keep an eye on what’s going in in the innermost workings of your Mac: CPU activity, system load, RAM usage, disk space, network activity—anything your little shiny heart desires. The latest iteration fixes some bugs and by “strange coincidence” now supports up to 8 processors. Hmmm.
But MacUser readers know that we’re totally psyched for the other release: namely, the final version 2.0 of Twitterrific, best known as the app whose name I habitually misspell. Twitterrific 2.0 adds inline spell-checking, a resizable text entry area, inline tweets, and much more. If you haven’t updated yet, we heartily recommend it.
You can find most of the MacUser crew on Twitter already, and we’ve been thinking for a while of starting up a general MacUser twitter. Any interest?

MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun.
That iPulse/Twitterrific mashup image is pretty nice!
