And as if we hadn’t just been complaining about all sorts of issues, and like manna from heaven, Apple appears to have heard our cries in the wilderness with the release of Leopard 10.5.2: the best update ever since 10.5.1.
As Software Updates around the globe begin cranking into high gear, let us tell you what you can expect on the 10.5.2 joyride. The train departs from Active Directory, bound for its final destination of Time Machine, calling in the ports of Back to My Mac, iChat, Mail, Safari, and much much more. So much more than it cannot all be contained here. Well, I suppose it could but it would be awfully long. If you’re looking for all of the lovely, gory details, Apple is more than happy to oblige.
Me, I’m looking forward to the touted reliability improvements in AirPort; the option to disable transparency in the menubar (hurrah!); and new features that should make Stacks usable, at last. But, if there is one key feature in the update, it’s this one:
Improves the accuracy of the grammar checker.Let’s be honest, though, folks: the only thing that improves the grammar checker is turning it off.
The update weighs in at a hefty 180MB, and is available via Software Update now, or you can grab the 343MB combo installer. Get downloadin’, and post your thoughts below.

Thanks Apple for fixing the stacks! I can finally use them, and its quicker than the hack method earlier. Im so happy someone listens. Look at microsoft and the SP1...
someone could learn a thing or two....
Just a friendly warning. 10.5.2 has major compatibility issues with Linotype FontExplorerX. Not sure why, but as long as FontExplorerX is running your programs and even Finder and the dock will have a tendency to lock up and not be usable again until FontExplorerX is shut down.
