Telestream, the makers of the now popular Flip4Mac WMV Components for Quicktime, have released an update to its software.
The 2.1.1 update, which is for the free WMV Player and the paid versions of the software, features support for the Windows Media 9 Advanced Profile, in addition to improved MPEG-4 support, two-pass VBR encoding, better installation through Apple Remote Desktop, and the ability to claim file types taken by other programs.
While any software update is a good thing, Flip4Mac WMV still lacks the one feature I’m craving most — the ability to play DRM content.

I seem to recall reading somewhere that the problem with getting DRM content to play on the Mac was that Microsoft won't license the Windows DRM format to the makers of Flip4Mac.
