macbookkeyboardUpdate.jpgIf you’ve been suffering from a specific keyboard bug with your MacBook or MacBook Pro, this latest firmware update from Apple will hopefully fix your problem. In the words of Cupertino…

This MacBook and MacBook Pro firmware update addresses an issue where the first key press may be ignored if the computer has been sitting idle. It also addresses some other issues.

The blandly-named “MacBook, MacBook Pro Keyboard Firmware Update 1.0” is a 876KB download from Apple’s website, and we assume it’ll show up in Software Update on targeted machines.

I don’t have a MacBook or MacBook Pro to test the update — want to buy me one? — but lovely former MacUser blogger Kate Marshall informs us that is does indeed work as advertised. Download away!

Well, it will only run in 10.5, so that lets me out for the moment.

I can't have it either - it's not for first gen macbooks.
