FrontRow 1.3.1Apple’s just pouring out the updates today. On top of new hardware and software, we’ve got a couple of smaller updates that didn’t want to be left out: Aperture 1.5.4 and Front Row 1.3.1. I know what you’re thinking: “woo hoo!”

Okay, so Front Row and Aperture may share the hotness with the likes of new iMacs and revamped iLife, but they’re no less important in the grand scheme of things. If you want your existing setup to play well with the latest technology, you’ll need to work make sure everything you’ve got is up to date.

So what’s the scoop on these? Well, the hefty 129MB Aperture 1.5.4 upgrade “is required for compatibility with iLife ‘08” while the smaller, 5.2MB Front Row pack “provides for improved iPhoto compatibility.” Huh. Great. Well, guess I should go get me some iLife ‘08 then.

Or should I? In related news, even before iLife ‘08 has hit the shelves, we’ve got an update in the pipes ready to go. iPhoto 7.0.1 is an 8.8MB download that “addresses issues associated with publishing photos from an upgraded library to .Mac Web Gallery.” Interesting. Or, well, it would be if I had iLife. Maybe.

All three updates are available via Apple’s website and Software Update. Go nuts.
