Camino 1.1 beta adds new features

CaminoCamino beta version 1.1 was released at the end last week, adding some sweet new features and squashing some bugs. Check them out:

  • Built in phishing protection and Kerberos authentication
  • Ability to block/disable plug-ins (ie: Flash)
  • Session saving — restoring tabs & windows after quitting

Although there have been several bug fixes over the last 1.1 beta version (check here for full release notes), we should probably warn you that this Camino 1.1 is still in beta and “may be unstable and not suitable for day-to-day use.” That being said, however, 1.1 beta is basically a full preview of what will become Camino 1.1.

Actually, I've been using Camino alpha builds for months, and they've been remarkably stable pieces of software.

I have been as well and, for the limited amount of time that I've been using the Alphas/nightly builds, they haven't crashed once.

Good stuff.
