If you own a Mac Pro with an ATI Radeon HD 2600 XT graphics card and have OS X 10.5.2 installed along with the Leopard Graphics Update v1.0, Apple has floated a new firmware update exclusively for you (and, erm, others like you).
At 792KB, this tiny little fella barely manages to exist at all and seeks to improve your system’s stability. Fire up Software Update or grab it from Apple Support.
Apparently, this update is for Early 2008 Mac Pro's ONLY. Man, Apple seems to be really boning the 2006/2007 Mac Pro buyers! I wonder what will happen when the next gen of Mac Pro's comes out.
Does this have something to do with the full-tilt fans after shutdown or the reboot after sleep issue on the Mac Pro? I want to buy a Mac Pro, but no until they fix those two bugs.
