It seems that computer errors have an obsession with using colors to indicate their presence. After the various colors of the screen of death on Windows (we’ve seen blue, red and purple to date), OS X has seemingly jumped into the fray with its own blue screen issues and now this new love for the color green.
Several users of the newly released Mac OS X v10.5 Leopard have been reporting a strange problem on the Apple Discussion Forums. Apparently, these users have been seeing weird flashes of green that seem to appear randomly. Since most of the sixty replies to the thread have confirmed the problem and almost each one has described a different situation, it seems that the only connection between these problems is the existence of an older graphics cards from the ATI Radeon line.
For now, there appears to be no solution for this issue. Have you been experiencing this problem? Sound off in the comments, file a bug report with Apple, grab a cup of coffee and hope for the best.

Hey Aayush, welcome to the MacUser community! I look forward to reading about Macs from your unique perspective on the other side of the world. Keep it up!
i keep getting an odd magenta gradient box that shows up every once and a while. i'm on a mac pro with an ATI 1900XT card. its weird and it comes up a lot. but if i do a screen cap it doesn't show up. gotta be the video card.
i haven't been experiencing this, but on my iMac G4 i have the dock set to the side and there are two weird (and very annoying) stripes (one on the top and one on the bottom) of the dock. they kind of fade out and then become solid. sometimes they change color and sometimes if i change the position of the dock and then put it back again, one of the stripes will be gone. but when i put my computer to sleep and wake it up, it usually comes back. it is kinda driving me insane. does anybody have any idea what the heck is wrong???? probably just my graphics card. the dock looks fine at the bottom of the screen btw.
Thank you, wesg! I'll try to live up to the expectations. :)
