Kernel panics and no resolution

Macbookpro Flyby-2If you’re a regular reader of MacUser, then you recall that I’ve been having some issues with my MacBook Pro. It started with a complete kernel panic which wouldn’t allow me to boot into OS X. I reloaded my own OS, which seemed to have fixed the problem. I continued having kernel panics, however, and brought my computer into the Apple Store.

A few days ago I went back to the Apple Store to pick up my computer, after being informed that they could find no problems with it. Intensive hardware tests were run for well over 40 hours, examining all aspects of my machine, yet nothing was found. So what happened to my machine? Obviously something is wrong—fatal kernel panics and frequent kernel panics don’t normally appear. I guess I’ll have to live in constant fear of a kernel panic until I can find some concrete problem with the machine.

I would suspect its defective memory modules. I would try removing one of the memory modules if its on 2 dimms and try booting up.
