An astute reader on Mac OS X Hints noticed that the 10.4.7 update seems to have brought two-finger clicking functionality to the entire MacBook Pro line. The feature is enabled in the Keyboard & Mouse preference pane: click “Tap trackpad using two fingers for secondary click.”
We noted in the past that it was possible to enable this on 15” MacBook Pros either through some complicated accidental data transferring or via a much simpler installer package, but now it appears to have come officially from Apple. This feature, of course, has been present on the MacBook since it shipped, giving something for MacBook users to lord over their Pro counterparts. Guess we’ll have to fall back to the magnetic latch now. Shazam!

Has anyone used this yet?
Maybe I'm imagining wrong, but wouldn't it right click every time you want to scroll?
Hopefully the magnetic latch will come to the Pro along with the Merom update before the end of the year.
Yup, I use it all the time on my MacBook. It's a little hard to get used to, but it doesn't interfere with scrolling at all. Generally you have to tap the pad with both fingers, and then take your fingers off the trackpad before the contextual menu pops up.
Alternatively (and somewhat more useful to my mind), if you simply rest both fingers on the trackpad and then click the trackpad's button, it'll also bring up the menu.
