More useful Spaces window-moving tips, via some helpful folks:
I tried my own tactic. Click and hold a window’s title bar, then use the [keyboard] shortcut to move to a different space (control-arrow keys, by default). Whoosh, the window comes with you.
This, of course, saves you the hassle of having to drag the window and hold it against the side of the screen, which can be both inconsistent and tedious.
Use Exposé in Spaces view - I’ve been using this feature, but I completely forgot to mention it — so thanks to reader Jesper for jogging my memory: While in Spaces view, you can actually trigger Exposé via your Exposé keyboard shortcut (or hot corner). Now you’re able see all of your windows fanned out in each space, and drag any of them between the spaces.
Spaces is a never-ending source of wonder and amazement — and minute, handy features that give it that unique Apple touch. Know any more Spaces tips? Post ‘em in the comments.
Thanks Paul and Jesper!

Exposé in Spaces? I'm in heaven!
Thanks for those tips!
My two disapointments with spaces are...
(and I'm amazed Apple didn't think of these)
* The inability to have a customized desktop wallpaper for each space.
* The inability to customize the dock for each space.
