If there’s one image program that I loved, it’s Lemke Software’s GraphicConverter, if for nothing else than the fact that it can do batch image conversions, something that not all image editors can do.
But imagine my surprise when our friends over at LifeHacker point out this trick can be achieved using Automator. Maybe I won’t need to use GraphicConverter after all.

I've been looking for a batch automate AAC (unprotected) to mp3. Anybody have a clue where I could find such a thing?
I now use Automator to resize images for one of my web sites. Using it I make batches of images in multiple sizes, and it correctly names and numbers each one: sales-09841-400x300.jpg. Pretty slick.
