Windows on Macs in Apple Stores?

The Back Door reports that some Apple Stores (he doesn’t say where) have Windows installed on the demo Macs in the store. I can see why Apple would want to do this — to entice into the flock those who are not already converted. Has anyone observed this in the wild?

Hi, i just saw one on the CompUSA Store at McAllen, it was an 20' iMac, i remember that my friend call me in the store to see it, i just saw it in the distance, i felt so terrified to see it that i refused to even be close to it!

No, actually when I went to my local Apple Store no computers has Windows on them. I asked a vendor why they didn't install Boot Camp on the Intel Macs, and he said it was because it is still beta software.
I guess they could install Parrallels though, since it's not beta.

I saw it at the UBC Bookstore here in Vancouver.

Just was in the Apple store in University Village, Seattle on Wed, August 2nd. They had a computer set up running bootcamp and Windows XP... but they wouldn't say anything about it. "I can't really talk about it, but feel free to use it!"

I've not seen it at a real Apple Store (although I've not been to one since March) but I have seen Boot Camp being run at an Authorised Apple Retailer in Antwerp, Belgium, on a 15" MacBook Pro.

It's been on the CompUSA Macs since shortly after Boot Camp was introduced. That's where I first saw it run in person.
