While Apple fans across the globe get their hands on shiny new iPhones after much anticipation, those of you in China — where the iPhone doesn’t go on sale — have a decent consolation. It’s official, Apple’s first store in the world’s most populous country will open in Beijing on July 19. Just in time for the 2008 Olympics!
We’ve talked about this in the past, notably when Aayush reported that the store’s location had been changed to The Village of SanLiTun, where it will indeed open its doors a week or so from now. IfoAppleStore describes the new outlet:
The three-level store is within a new development that includes several other international retailers, including Nike, Adidas and Sephora.
If you speak Chinese, Apple China has a page for the new store.
