You didn’t think that Apple was done Down Under, did you?
If the “chaotic launch” launch of the first Sydney store was any indication, then hopefully the addition of two more stores in southeastern Oz will alleviate some of the demand for Apple products.
Sydney will be getting its second store, this time at the Chatsworth Chase mall, opening this Saturday, reports the Australian Macworld:
Unlike the flagship CBD store, which spans three levels and fronts George Street with a giant glass facade, the Chatswood one will be a conventional single-level mall-like store.
The Sydney Morning Herald also reports that a third store is coming to the Melbourne suburb of Chadstone, based on recent job ads for spots in that store.
No word on whether Brisbane, Perth or Darwin are going to get some Apple love anytime soon, but as Apple’s Q3 call noted, additional stores are planned for Switzerland and Germany later this year.
Its not Chatsworth, its Chatswood...
