Apple, you are the king of the fakeouts. Man, remember that time back in eighth grade when you told me my shoelaces were untied? Heck, I’ve still got the scar! But that was nothing compared to this morning. You know we’ve been feeling a bit down, a bit bereft of legitimate Apple news since the launch of the uberPhone. So what do you do? You pop up the old yellow sticky on the Apple Store, thus generating ripples of excited anticipation throughout the whole Mac community. What will it be? New iMacs? The ultraportable notebook many of us have been hoping for? A long awaited update to the Mac mini?
None. Of. The. Above. The store reappeared a short time later and, as far as anybody can tell, no new products have been added. You know what, Apple? That was uncalled for. Now I’m going to have to go cry into my cereal. Look what you’ve done.
