Hawking ApplesAttention, residents of Jackson, Mississippi—we’re pleased to inform you that you’ll soon see the gleaming doors of an Apple Store thrown wide somewhere in your neighborhood. As an Apple customer, you have every reason to be psyched about this development because this is also going to mark Apple’s first step into your state.

I believe it was Uncle Ben who said with every great store also come great employment opportunities, or something like that. Therefore, also on the cards is a chance for you to become a Mac Specialist at your first local Apple Store, if you’re so inclined.

If you’re a local, feel free to drop us a line with any scuttlebutt you might hear.

I guess this is the opportune time to say:

1) Yes we have paved roads.
2) No we don't think the south will rise again.
3) Yes we marry outside our family tree (some of us at least).
4) No we don't ALL drive pick-ups.
5) Yes we're excited to get an Apple Store!
