Is there any other CEO with the same level of paparazzi-stalking as the Steve? I don’t see a lot of reports on Ballmer’s movements (other than those klaxons that warn of impending danger), or Sir Howard Stringer. But Vinnie Jobserino? It’s imperative that we keep track of his movements. Let no trip go unfollowed.
So, word in from the folks over at HardMac Steve Jobs has been sighted exiting his Gulfstream on the tarmac in Paris. Let’s take a look at the photographic evidence and see what we can divine with our amazing skills of deduction.
It’s hard to tell from the photo, but he appears to be wearing a black turtleneck under a peacoat. The jeans are present as well, though given that they appear to have a rip in the right thigh, we can only presume that these are not his “presentation” pants. The black duffel bag he’s carrying in his left hand is perfectly suitable for a change of clothes, or perhaps the inflatable Phil Schiller he uses for demos.
So what is Monsieur Jobs doing en France? While the iPhone is launching in the UK and Germany today, the French aren’t getting the iPhone until the end of the month. HardMac suggests that he may be visiting the site of the first Apple Store in France—my guess is that France is conveniently located between the UK and Germany, so it keeps the paparazzi guessing. Then again, maybe that isn’t Jobs at all, but a decoy. The real one is right behind you.
"Inflatable Phil Schiller"
If I had been drinking milk when I read that, I very well could have spit it out (and ruined my Apple Keyboard!). Hilarious.
Omigod, I totally had to look.
I think, if we can't get an inflatable Phil Schiller for our MacWorld booth, we'll have to at least get a cardboard standup. Not as easy to pack though.
Considering the value of AAPL shares depending on Steve Jobs well being there is little following of his public appearances. So secretive is Mr Jobs that his iJet flight plans are considered secret. Only an occasional airport watcher will report on his Gulfstream V tail number N2N. Why aren't there more?
He used ripped pants on the cover of some Magazine not too long ago aswell, (since you seem so interested in his clothes.) ;)
