What is the one thing the U.S. Apple Store is apparently better at, as opposed to its foreign counterparts? Keeping secrets. Just last week, we saw the Swiss Apple Store goof up and herald the arrival of the 802.11n capable AirPort Extreme Express a day prior to its launch.
This time, it’s the Dutch version of the iTunes Store staring at us with a pitiful, deer-in-the-headlights look after advertising the iPod touch models at prices significantly lower than what they currently retail for. The ad stated (but has since been corrected) that the prices now start “from €199”, which is €80 (about $100 $125) lower than the price of the 8GB model in the Netherlands.
This is in line with recent rumors of a $100 price drop for iPod touches (and possibly, even iPhones)—so our guess-o-meters are firmly pointing towards this turning out to be a genuine leak. We’ll have to wait to get our confirmation (Tuesday, anyone?), so if you’re in the market for an iPod touch, it might be in your best interest to wait for a few days.
Don’t get your hopes too high though because, for all we know, it might just be an innocent mistake—the sort that anyone should be allowed to make, right? Wrong. I bet heads are rolling even as we speak.

Does Apple's refund policy about buying within 2 weeks of a price drop apply to iPods as well?
Actually Aayush, 80 € are more like 125 US bucks. And looking at the current price difference between the EU and USA in Apple gear prices it would actually be a nice thing. :)
That would definitely make it harder to resist buying the 32GB model.
