TextExpander 2.0 is here (I hear)

TextExpanderI’m a big huge fan of TextExpander. It expands abbreviations what you type into larger pieces of text. That’s not all though. It can place your cursor in a specified place. The date and time can be inserted in arbitrary places. It accelerates a lot of my work.

The new features in the just released TextExpander 2.0 include snippet groups, snippet synchronization through .Mac, snippet printing, AppleScript activation, and much much more. I’m always on the lookout for ways to expand my use of .Mac, so this update looked great.

Unfortunately, I seem to have stumbled upon a bug. The preference pane to control it simply won’t launch on my Powerbook. I contacted SmileOnMyMac support and to their credit, they responded in minutes asking for diagnostic information and a link to the previous version to get me going once again. I just hope I actually get to upgrade soon.

interesting - same issue I've been having, but it started before I even upgraded to 2.0...

Support was minutes with an initial response to me as well. Hoping they get it figured out soon!!

TextExpander 2.0.2 is now available here:

http://www.smileonmymac.com/textexpander/download.html

Hold shift and click Reload if the link does not show for 2.0.2, as your browser may have cached the page.

It should fix this problem. Sorry for the trouble.

Thanks for using TextExpander from SmileOnMyMac!
