Everyone loves virtualization, right? Intel Macs running Windows in an OS X window? That’s black magic, my friends, and very powerful magic, at that. There are two great virtualization products out there that most Mac users in the know are aware of: Parallels and VMware Fusion. Both are fine programs, but there is a third program that is sometimes overlooked: VirtualBox by Sun, which we’ve written about a couple of times.
Sun just released version 2 of VirtualBox and they kept my favorite feature intact: the price. VirtualBox is free, so you really have no reason not to try it out (other than being happy with OS X and not needing another operating system in your life). In addition to keeping the low, low price, the fine folks at Sun added some new features:
And a host of other, far geekier new features like, ‘Framework for collecting performance and resource usage data,’ and ‘Support for VHD disk images.’ Say it with me, now: Ooooh. Ahhhhh.

I haven't tried version 2.0 yet, but I had issues running OpenBSD on VirtualBox 1.6. Although it's not Windows or another popular OS, OpenBSD is an OS I needed to use for work.
Also, there are actually two versions of VirtualBox: non-free and free. I also elaborated on that in my post.
