submerge.jpgIf you’re a fan of foreign films and are looking for a way to get subtitled movies into iTunes, or your Apple TV and iPod, check out Submerge.

Submerge supports most video formats, including mov, avi, and mp4. It also supports SubRip, SubViewer 1 & 2 and MicroDVD subtitle formats, so you’d be hard pressed to download a movie with an incompatible sub format. You can also speed things up with Elgato Turbo.264 hardware encoder support, which makes for faster encoding.

There’s a number of tweakable preferences for those of you who want your subtitles just right, as well as the ability to change the film’s aspect ratio—pretty cool.

Submerge is $9 and they offer a free trial for download.

Not really a comment to the news story, but rather the picture.

The picture has swedish subs for an episode of Prison Break, it says "It doesn't matter whether you agree or not"

Just thought I'd share ;)
