Many know of Panic, Inc. for their fabulous FTP/WebDAV client Transmit, however they also have a number other noteworthy applications. One such program is Stattoo, which displays system information right on your desktop: time (with big, bold numbers), disk usage, upcoming iCal events, iTunes track information, weather, and more.
Stattoo does a great job of keeping you informed of your Mac’s current vitals without requiring a press of F12 to launch Dashboard and loading a stats widget. Bits of information in Statoo are divided into “capsules,” which can be dragged, dropped, added and removed to suit your preference, and the entire row of modules can be positioned onscreen as well. When running, capsules are not clickable and therefore avoid getting in your way while you work, making staying on top of your Mac’s stats as easy as using your Desktop.
