If you read our about page, you know that Cyrus’s one program he can’t live without is Pro Tools. But he just got a new MacBook! Well, now that Pro Tools has been ported to Intel, he can run full speed. I don’t really know what that means because I still think of a type of party when someone says mixer, but I’m sure this will help Cyrus as he produces the Macworld Podcast.
It looks like the executables aren’t Universal Binaries though as the download page warns about trying to install the version there to a PowerPC. It won’t work.
These installers require an Intel-based Mac to run. They will not work on a PowerPC-based Mac.
MacUser is your source for news, info, and opinion about Apple, the Mac, and the iPod. Our dedicated team of bloggers covers everything that is relevant to Mac users — and, okay, some stuff that’s not quite relevant, but is still a lot of fun. (Plus, we've got columns by Andy Ihnatko!)
