Overflowing Dock

OverflowIf your Dock is brimming with programs, crammed to the point where icons are tiny and nearly unusable, then here are two great solutions for you! The first is Overflow, an unobtrusive launcher which occupies the space of a single icon but can contain tons of files and programs. Much like the Launcher from the OS 8 era, Overflow can be customized and organized to suit your needs.

Another solution to trimming down your Dock is to use a background program such as A Better Finder Launcher, which is my personal favorite. With the touch of a key-command, a window appears in which you can type the first few letters of the desired application or file and finally press Enter to launch it.

Free trials of Overflow and A Better Finder Launcher are available, and both can be purchased for the same price of $14.95. Whichever you choose, your Dock will end up less cluttered and far more usable.
