GTD lovers, listen up! The Omni Group has finally announced when the highly-anticipated OmniFocus will ship and how much it’ll cost. The answers to these questions are January 8th, 2008, and $79.95, respectively.
However, if you buy before then, the price is cut in half ($39.95) and your license will be emailed to you the day the app ships. But wait, there are other ways to save money! OmniOutliner Pro users get reductions on either of those prices, as do educational buyers, and a family pack is also available. You can pre-order from here.
Also, for those who haven’t yet had a chance to play with the task manager, the beta is now available to the public, and there’s a 15-minute quick start video for your viewing pleasure.
All in all, if you like Getting Things Done, OmniFocus looks very appealing, with its clean and efficient interface. Plus, friend of the blog and GTD guru Merlin Mann contributed to the project, so how could it not be good?
