NetNewsWire Just in time for you to see the exciting renovations we’ve performed on our own feed, Brent Simmons, along with his employer, NewsGator, have unleashed NetNewsWire 2.1 upon the world. The 2.1 version of NetNewsWire Lite is still waiting in the wings. Fancy new features include:

  • NewsGator syncing
  • Universal binary
  • Performance enhancements
  • Print command
  • Post to del.icio.us command
  • Email-link and email-contents commands
  • Sorting subscriptions by attention
  • User interface changes
  • Bug fixes

I’m all over this like flies on stink. Maybe Aaron will join us cool kids and upgrade. They’re all welcome additions but NewsGator syncing stands out, despite some service reliability issues. I’m sure that whole Universal Binary thing will be useful in the future too.

Hey, I heard that! What do you think I'm doing right now? The only reason I didn't want to 2.1 beta is because its main feature that attracted me, Newsgator syncing, turned out to be a total waste, as you posted earlier. Take that!

I used to use NNW and liked it a lot, but I don't like the new direction with NewsGator at all. I switched to endo which is a nice alternative to NNW.
