MultiClutch iconAs surely as night follows day, we knew some enterprising developer would soon release something that would allow you to expand those spiffy Multi-Touch capabilities of your MacBook Air or MacBook Pro. Sure enough, someone has.

William C. Henderson has just released MultiClutch, a preference pane that expands the library of participating applications to include any Cocoa application you choose.

What this means is that you are no longer limited to the limited set of applications that Apple has decided to endow with support for multi-touch. You can now pinch to zoom in Mail or swipe your fingers on the trackpad to navigate between different chats in iChat or various tabs in NetNewsWire.

It’s available for the wonderfully low price of free and is in beta right now. Donations are, of course, always appreciated. If you decide to try it out, let us know how it works out for you.
