Eight days after the release of Aperture 2, Macworld has published its first look at the long-awaited program—and so far, they like it.
The new elements praised include a smoother, better organized interface, new tool additions, and overall faster running. The improved interface is less cluttered and more logical than previous versions, and the addition of tabbed Projects, Metadata, and Adjustments inspectors will give users more space for critical work. Finally, the addition of some much-needed tools, among them those for Vignettes and adjusting exposure and contrast, garnered high marks as well.
The reviewer also claimed faster running speeds on his 1.16GHz Core 2 Duo iMac, but official Macworld Lab tests are still pending. A complete review is in the works and should be up soon.

Until Aperture supports my Olympus E-3 raw photo files, I will wait to upgrade.
