I love when a pun filled title just creates itself for you. Microsoft has been working on a syncing technology that it has dubbed Live Mesh. I personally wouldn’t want to name a file syncing technology with something that’s known for having holes in it, but that’s me. You specify a folder and all the machines you’ve set up Live Mesh on will have it.
That doesn’t just include PCs. Mobile phones and, be still my heart, Macs are included. The Mac client wasn’t really set for even beta release, but the Microsoft folks let the cat out of the bag.
jkOnTheRun took this as an opportunity to write a preview post about the software. It’s a nice overview and the conclusion is a positive one. We can just hope that the reported 1-2% CPU usage is real.
