Valleywag has pulled a section out of a Kara Swisher interview with Sergey Brin, one of the Google co-founders. When asked if she has tried it, Swisher tells Brin she hasn’t because of a lack of a Mac version.
He then tells her “It’s embarrassing.” and “I run it in VMware on my Mac.” You’d think that the founder of the company wouldn’t be reduced to that. It gives me hope that the Mac version is a priority with Sergey waiting for it and “asking about it every day”. He then suggests a matter of months. Just in time for Christmas or Halloween?
It’s actually possible to build a development version of Chromium, though I wouldn’t recommend it for anybody not interested in development. It’s a good sign that it’s not too far away.

There, that's the full experience of Chromium built for mac.
Who cares about Chrome when we've already got Firefox, Safari, and Camino? Does the Mac really need another browser anyway?
Frankly, if the Google team is going to spend time working on tools for the Mac I'd MUCH rather see Picasa than Chrome.
I want another browser on the Mac - the more the merrier. All existing versions suck in one way or another.
They are working on Picasa - I think a company the size of Google can afford two Mac development teams ;)
I do agree that Picasa is more urgent than Chrome though.
