As Scott posted a week ago, Chax, the cool freeware app that adds extended functionality to iChat, made it to its 1.4 beta 4 stage, which included tabbed browsing. But now, 1.4 has been fully released with loads of new features, including, of course, tabbed chatting, along with other features that include seeing unread message notifications in the dock, getting Gowl notifications for new messages, and getting rid of picture-in-picture when having a video chat. All of these features are great, but the best part of Chax in my opinion is simply that it’s free.
