Despite the fact that I use OmniWeb, I’m still a huge Camino fan. For a long time, it was the only really usable web browser for Mac OS X. I still cringe thinking about those days. Dark times I tell you.
Developer Mike Pinkerton reports version 1.1 shall be known from now on as 1.5. New features:
That’s all good stuff, but I’m still looking for great bookmark syncing. Release candidates will be released in the coming weeks with a final release this month (hopefully). Browser preference is one of those things you’ll never get everyone to agree upon, but what could be done to make Camino your browser of choice?

I'd really like to see full userscript support like Greasemonkey for Firefox.
I've been using Camino as my primary browser for a while and I like it, but for two things. First, I wish I could view PDFs inline, as Safari allows you to do. (Of course, what I'd really like is for PDF Browser Plug-in to go Universal). Second, Flip-4-Mac doesn't work well for me in Camino -- I can't view WMV files inline. Having PDFs and WMW files download to my hard drive are really the only things I don't like about Camino.
Obviously, Camino desperately needs an extensible plug-in or add-on functionality. This functionality is a huge reason why Firefox is so popular. I use Firefox on my Mac and won't use Camino because of it.
Camino has been my default browser for a year now. I love its quickness, its looks and feel. However, I welcome any other enhancements and features that come with the next version.
I'm pro-Open Source. I downloaded the 30 day version of Omniweb, but I can't get myself to pay for a browser. Its one of those things that should be free... like those fruits they leave outside of fruit stores. Amazing!! : )
