Camino 1.0.1 released

CaminoEveryone’s (or at least my) favorite Mac browser, Camino, has just been updated to version 1.0.1, including some bug fixes and minor improvements. According to Camino’s site, several “critical security issues” have been fixed, including ones that were solved in the new 1.8.0.3 version of Gecko, which is included in Camino 1.0.1. 1.0.1 also has version 0.9.5+d of the Java Embedding plug-in, improved ad-blocking (mainly for German ads), and the ability to open SVG files stored locally on your computer. For Intel Mac users, the new version of Camino has the ability to open Keychain items which were stored by Camino on a PPC based Mac. Sounds pretty good , but I’m still waiting for a future version of Camino that will support Firefox extensions — that would be web browser heaven.
