By now you’re familiar with software package deals. MacHeist and MacUpdate have both offered them recently. For a flat price, you get a set of applications at a big discount. If you want the apps, it’s generally a good deal. If you only need a few, it becomes less of a deal. What if you could pick just want you want and still get a deal?
Enter Mac Mix. This is an idea I can get behind. 28 applications, including favorites like Parallels, iBank, Yep, Witch, and TextExpander, are all options in a custom bundle you create. The twist is that the more apps you add to the bundle, the more of a discount you get for all of of them.
You get new tiers of discounts at 1 (10%), 3 (30%), 5 (40%), 7 (50%), 9 (60%), and 12 (75%). That’s extremely clever. Check it out and see if there are some apps in there you can use. I will note the front page is extremely slow, so opt for the light version by clicking the link at the upper left.
