Adobe recently announced Adobe Media Player, formerly known as “Philo”. It’ll help you manage all the Flash video that you’re subjected to by coworkers you encounter.
It’s designed to collect, manage, queue and play Flash video from your local drive. It’ll even scan RSS feeds for Flash videos. You’ll be able to get all those YouTube videos that hold your attention automatically, saving them locally, so you can catch up while (horror of horrors) you’re away from an internet connnection.
The application was created using Adobe’s Apollo. It’ll be available for Windows, Mac OS X 10.4 and 10.5 at first, followed closely by Linux (I think they might be serious). Take a look at the screenshots, it’s not that ugly, but I wouldn’t take it home with me either.
