1Password remembers passwords so you don’t have to

1passwordI used to be a password freak, stemming in part from the years I taught freshman orientation computer classes. Making a strong, easy-to-remember password was something that we stressed—and something that people often had a hard time comprehending. If I had a…er, password for every time I found someone’s password written down after a class, I could have stolen a heck of a lot of identities.

Back then, we didn’t have the conveniences of programs like Agile Web Solutions’s $35 1Password, which integrates with your web browser and helps remember all your disparate passwords for the many many websites you likely frequent. The Agile team has just released a new version, including a long-anticipated Go & Fill 1-click bookmarks directly in your browser. That’s not all: there are a number of other fixes and changes in the latest version, including family licenses for the program now allowing up to 5 users in a household and a reorganized Go & Fill menu on the Dock icon.

Security is important, and managing your passwords is increasingly a way of life. If you, like most people, have trouble remembering precisely which passwords goes with which site, then 1Password might be for you.

Doesn't 'Keychain' do pretty much the same thing in general (perhaps without the advanced features)?
